THE TRAINERS
VISION | IMPROVE | PERFORM
JACE OWEN
Head Trainer
Central Illinois native, Jace Owen, began his motocross racing career at none other than Lincoln Trail Motosports, hence his love for and devotion to the track and belief in further investing in its development. Now, with 25 years of racing experience and knowledge, ten of which were spent on the professional circuit, he is back to the roots that first helped establish him.
Owen had a noteworthy amateur career moving up the ranks, winning over 20 amateur national championships, many of which occurred during his multi-year deal with the Rockstar Suzuki race team. This includes securing two titles at Loretta Lynn’s AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship in the Supermini and Schoolboy classes, as well as receiving the Fox Bronze Boot Award at the Mini O’s in Florida. Though Owen’s professional career had its ups and downs, he still managed to be crowned the Arenacross Champion in 2019 and secure over 10 top-ten finishes in AMA Supercross. Jace further achieved career success while traveling the world. He has the privilege of stating that he raced in Australia, Dubai, Costa Rica, the UK, the Netherlands, and Italy. He specifically has the honor of claiming multiple race wins in Germany and the Prince of Paris title in France. Unfortunately, due to a career-ending injury, Owen was forced to retire from the professional scene in 2024.
As fate would have it however, timing was everything, and Owen was provided with the opportunity of a lifetime – to purchase his hometrack, LTM. In a full-circle position, Jace is excited to put his two and a half decades’ worth of expertise to good use and share his talent and insight with the next generation. He believes that his story and trajectory, including the highs, lows, open doors, and closed doors, only help him connect with riders in a way that most are not capable of. Additionally, Jace, himself, spent over ten years as a student training at various facilities, providing him special insight into what works and what doesn’t as a coach. With VIP ACADEMY MX, Owen looks forward to helping riders (and families) achieve their goals, all while developing into stronger and faster racers and well-rounded people, prepared for the challenges of the sport and life.
